what will you be doing on the longest day of the year?

incase you didn't know, tomorrow (actually this year it starts at 11:59pm tonight) begins the longest day of the year. what makes a day the longest of the entire year? glad you asked. it's the day when the rays of the sun directly strike one of the two tropical latitude lines. so, while those of us in the northern hemisphere celebrate the summer solstice the southern hemisphere-rians will begin their winter. Fellow New Yorker's, we'll be watching the sunset around 8:30pm tomorrow.
