how to panhandle
i had to panhandle in paris once. i was one euro short for a ticket to the airport. i had exactly 7.20 and the ticket was 8.20. i was so bummed. there was no way i was going to the atm to take out 20.00euros and then have to exchange at some crappy rate into us dollars at the airport. i swallowed my pride and asked a nice looking fella for a euro. he walked away from me and i was so crushed and embarrassed. he came back 30 seconds later and handed me a euro. "i had to go get change," he said. i friggin' love paris.
